Mailbox Size Limit in Exch 2007?
I have a user with a mailbox that just hit 20G. He is getting messages that he has exceeded the limit and can't access or move new messages. We don't have quotas on mailboxes. Is 20G the limit?

No there is no hard limit, it's only the limit based on your disk size or the theoretically limit of the database size 16TB. Are you sure there is no quota at the mailbox level or the database level?

I just looked again. There are no limits set for this mailstore. This user is on Exch Enterprise 2007. He runs in cached mode. Is this a limit on the OST file? There is plenty of local disk space.
This would be our largest mailbox.

You are right Patrick.
There are size limits on OST-files.

Yes you've hit the ost limit of 20gb for outlook 2007. The default is 20gb for outlook 2007 but can bump up to 50gb.

Thanks. We're bringing the user to Office 2010 now. He should have been already. That should take care of this.
