Mailbox clustering
Hi all Is there a possibility to cluster 1 or few mailboxes on Exchange server 2007? I have a few exchanges on a network and a group of people who should have access to their mailboxes 24/7. Is there any way to cluster a mailbox on another exchange server so in case the primary goes down, user will not loose access? thanks

Hi,You can't cluster a mailbox. You can host the mailbox on an Exchange cluster (scc or ccr). Above means that you would need to install for example an Exchange CCR cluster and then move the mailboxes to this cluster. In Exchange 2010 you can use database availability groups to have more copies of an Exchange database located on several servers - this would also give you high availability.Leif

Hi,As suggested by Leif you can't cluster a mailbox. You can cluster a mailbox Server Role with CCR or SCC.If you need more details on CCR cluster please refer the below.http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Installing-Configuring-Testing-Exchange-2007-Cluster-Continuous-Replication-Based-Mailbox-Server-Part1.htmlhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124521(EXCHG.80).aspxSanjay

You could have a 2010 dag specifically for those users.
