I have 2 Win2k3 servers in my environmentone of which holds all the FSMO roles. I have modified the configuration domain controller to point to my 2k3 role holder. All my servers are global catalog servers in a single domain environment. The server referenced in the above error is my 2000 exchange server that is also a domain controller. I know I can use the ems to move the mailbox. Is there a way I can point it to my 2k3 server for the move? Or is there another solution I can implement. Thanks

You need to have a Windows2003 SP1 GC in every site where you run 2007, that's the only requirement I know of. You can use Move-Mailbox -Identity <guid | displayname | username> -TargetDatabase <Databaseid> -DomainController <fqdn dc> This points the cmdlet to the DC of you choice.

Mpriem, this is a very good point. I am seeing a lot of problems know with people running W2K DCs. Mostly during installations, though. I am recommending people get their entire forest up to W2K3 SP1 before starting a move to E2K7. I know that is not technically necessary, but I find it useful to avoid problems like this. My $0.02 worth. :-)
