When I try grant mailbox access to DL and Security Group.

I have realised most DL and security group next to it a red cross icon.

I have tried the below link but not working. Anyone can share what its means actually.
Is there any further impact?

Firstly you need to move this post to Exchange Forum. 

On the other hand, you need to clarify what did you mean by "grant mailbox access to DL and Security Group", I think you was mean send as permission or adding the user mailbox to DL member list, if that then your mentioned article not related with your question...

First of all, it is definitely happen at Outlook.

It just depend where the issue arise.

When you right click on mailbox one of the folder at Outlook, you will see a list of user, group and DL when grant permission.

The red cross was found on most of the DL and security group, as attached link.

Aha, that's because you are using DL type as Dynamic Distribution Group or Mail Universal Group, you should using a Mail Universal Security Group.

Do you means security group that with mail enabled for mail universal security group?

For all the red cross appear, is this normal behaviour?

If you have a DL or whatever mailbox enabled, to be able to add it to list of permissions for any folder, then you should to make sure that this mail box or DL type is a Mail Universal Security Group.

Make sure that your DL type as in the below screen.
