Manage Server 2008 with XP SP3
I have a question that Im having a hard time finding the answer for. I just bought a rack server from dell and I put server 2008 on it. My question is can I manage server 2008 from my office running XP SP3? I would like to know before I put it in to production. Thanks

First wouldn't this be better posted in the server 2008 forums than the exchange forums? Either way I think you need to elaborate more on what you mean by "can I manage server 2008".

Yea, Admin section for Exchange server... TechNet Forums Exchange Server Admin Manage Server 2008 with XP SP3 Regardless, I don't know of any reason you can't administer a 2008 server from an xp machine, I think there might be some upgrades for a few things, like mmc 3.0 and an upgraded rdp client for connecting to server 2k8. But everything else should run off xp and/or you should be able to connect just fine to a 2k8 server.

Hi, To provide efficient and accurate services to our customers, Microsoft has different support forums for different products. This issue is related to the Windows Server 2008 and cannot be resolved from a Exchange server standpoint. Our Exchange Support Team deals mainly with issues related to the Exchange Server. Thus, we are not the best resource for this issue. In order to make sure that the case is handled by the most suitable engineer, I suggest submitting a new thread to our Windows Server 2008 Support Forum. For your convenience I have included the link: http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=161&SiteID=17 In this way, the case will be handled by an engineer who specializes in this type of issue. This will ensure the problem is resolved as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Thanks Allen
