Manager field on mailbox
What does adding the users manager in the managed by field do on the 201

Manager is an Active Directory attribute that can be used by anything that uses AD. One way Exchange uses this field is by adding calendars in outlook, grouped by your peers people you share a manager with.

Ok thanks, so by adding the manager it automaps calendars into your outlook profile..?
does it give the manager any permissions on the mailbox?
