Manaully Removing Last Exch2K Server
I have migrated evrything to Exchange 2003. ANd now need to remove the last Exchange 2000. My problem is one of the exch2k stores is corrupt and can't be brought back online. Do i need to fallow the step in KB260378 or can i just remove the server from ESM and then delete from AD? After this is done i will raise the domain function to native 2003.

Using that method in KB260378would be the best option.BP

You can raise the forest functional level to 2003 native now. It has nothing to do with Exchange. But read this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/314649Windows Server 2003 adprep /forestprep command causes mangled attributes in Windows 2000 forests that contain Exchange 2000 serversMike Crowley: MCT, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Messaging Administrator
