Hi i'm running exchange 2007 SP1 would like to know the maximum number of rules i can have there are only 0 - 8 priority for the rules does it mean i can only have these number of rules what can i do if i want more. Thanks for any info

This soft limit is imposed mainly because of the memory required to cache rules and is unlikely to affect most deployments because few companies will use more than 20 rules. Hi thks for the info but how do i add more rules as there is only 0 -8 priority how will the rules be created after it exceed 8?

Hi, I do not know the maximum number of transport rules, but I think it must be more than 50 rules (or maybe 255). I currently have 20 transport rules in my Ex2007. Each rule must has a unique priority number. That is, if you create 50 rules, there will be 0-49 priority numbers for rules.
