Meeting request displaying wrong date and time to recipient
We are running MS Exchange 2003, Windows XP Pro, Outlook 2007. All service packs and updates are current. Just recently 12/20/2010 our users started noticing that when receiving a meeting request the wrong dates and times were being displayed next to the WHEN section of the meeting request, and looking further into it, the date and time that was being displayed was the date the recipient opened the email and the time was the time the recipient opened the email rounded up to the next half hour. This problem is extremely serious because it is also placing these wrong dates and times on the reipients calendar. So far this issue seems to only be happening internally, however it is not a constant. Sometimes it's happening when sending on behalf of, sometime not, sometimes it's happening when sending to a group, other times not. Overall it is happening more often than not but cannot be isolated to a paticular user or group. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. BTW- All dates and time zones are correct on local machines and server.

No, not so far. We rarely use OWA for meeting request's, but the test's myself and others have performed have resulted in accurate meeting dates and times. However, I have noticed that the accepted meeting request is showing on the OWA calendar but not the Outlook calendar of the sender. Joe Mac Nichol

Hello We are also seeing the same issue Exchange 2003/ Outlook 2007 and 2010. The issue only seems to occur when dealing with External Contacts and appointments coming in and out from external sources. I look forward to any feedback. Thanks Marc

We are also experiencing this, have had several different meeting requests both from internal and external sources where the meeting time has been set to the recipient time. We are running Exchange 2003 (6.5.7638.1), BlackBerry Professional Server 4.1.4.3 and Outlook 2007 and 2010 with current service packs. Issue has been intermittently occurring over the last week, but we were closed from Dec 24 - Jan 3. Noticed that our domain time which is synced from time.windows.com is off by almost 4 minutes, so just switched to synching from the National Research Council of Canada time server. Suspect it may be related to a DST update but still in investigating, will post more details when known.

We were critically low on disk space, had our user clean up their mailboxes, did a defrag and regained a ton of space, since then (7 days now) all our meeting request's have been accurate. I don't know if being soo low on available disk space had anything to do with it, but so far so good. If anything changes I'll post it.Joe Mac Nichol
