Dear Experts, I have an Exchange Server 2007 SP 2 with the domain ( eg. internal.com) and we also have external mail (eg. external.com) hosted by Website Hosting Company. Now we are planning to merge this two e-mail. Can someone advice me the sutiable scenarios to achieve this goal. Our main objective is that whenever my user recieve an external e-mail from external domain ( eg.yahoo.com) it should automtically arrive to my exchange mailbox and he can reply to the sender simulatneously. Does your hosting company accept and store emails for external.com? If so, how do you get those emails today? What are you merging to (are you unifying on internal.com or external.com or somethingelse.com)?

The simple method is to just add the external domain to Accepted Domains. Then check that all users have the correct email addresses on their accounts. Finally change the MX record to point to your server. It is Dependant on you having a static IP address though. Also - Exchange 2007 SP2 is no longer supported. If you are going to expose Exchange to the Internet to receive email then I suggest that you install Exchange 2007 SP3 plus the latest rollup before doing so.
