Message Header in public Folders
Hi EveryoneWe are using exchange 2003 Ent. edition, and we have several incoming emails going to public folders (in order share with everyone)We are trying to get the Message Header of some of these emails (to combat spam) but that option is not available since the message is in IPM.POST type format.Does anyone know a way to retrieve the message header from an email in a public folder.ThanksOren

Issue description: How to get message header info from IPM.POST type messages in a public folder? If we send MAPI messages, it still stores as IPM.NOTE type in the public folder. Only when messages is sent via SMTP, Message Class will change to IPM.POST What do you indicate about message header? Do you mean the Internet Headers in the option of the messages? It is empty only if the messages are not sent but posted directly on this public folder. Otherwise, the Internet Headers will always exist even it is IPM.POST type per my knowledge Additional: Heres an article that provides a way to keep the messages as IPM.NOTE when they come from SMTP channel to public folder. You may give it a try
