Message Management Solution
We're currently looking for a solution to automate message handling in our mid size office. It has been suggested that we use a custom form (to allow company specific datato identify the message) and script that will automatically move the message to the public folder system. This presents a resolution butpublic folders don't provide an easy/quick way to do searches or deal with duplicate messages.
The archiving software packages that I have looked at, Enterprise Vault and Zantaz, would provide some more of this functionality but both apparently do not handle custom fields in custom forms.
Doesanyone have experience with usingarchiving software that could provide us with some insight?
Thanks

Hi,
not long ago I have solving simillar problem. I have only Idea for you...
I found sollution in Exchnage server it self.
Just made mail-enable public folders, relevant distibution groups and relvant e-mail addresses. It is just about to imagine andright plan above structure.. we don't need any third party sw, becouse archiving and searching in Pub.Folders is enought for us...
To duplicate or archive more efectivelyis beter to archive by backup, You can comfortable backup public storeby "Document level" backup. It is fast to search and recover/duplicate from backup even 1 file level.. proble is, you need third party sw.. fe BrightStor ArcServe Backup - I'm satisfied with.

Hi Marian
Your suggestion would work if thecontents of the inbound messages contained information pertinent to the filing structrue. Unfortunately our inbound messages do not. An example is we may be involved in several projects with an Architect and the inbound emails may go to the same people but need to be filed with the proper project correspondance. The filing of the messages solely depends on the thoroughness of the recipient.
Thanks for your response.
