Message Missing on our Exchange Server
Hi All, We have an Exchange SBS 2003 server. It has been working well as far as we know and still seems to manage to deliver some/most of the mail we receive. However some external mail is getting to the Exchange Server but not been delivered to the end recipient. It just dissapears, it is not in a queue and the original sender does not get an error message. We have looked at the exchange logs and we can see that the messages do appear there, we get 2 Event types for the messages that go missing, we get 1025 SMTP begin submit message and 1024 SMTP submit message to cat. That is all that seems to happen and that is the last we ever see of the message. If anyone has any ideas on what might be causing this or how to find out what is causing it I would really appreciate it. One more thing, it isnt always the same. Yesterday I could send myself messages from my gmail account but today I can not. Thanks for your help Alan Ayres

Hi, First, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. Does the issue occur when trying to send the message to the external e-mail address? 2. Does it occur to certain recipient or each one? At this stage, I suggest you download ExBPA to analysis the system. Meanwhile, please reproduce the issue and SMTP log here for research. Thanks. NovakPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
