Message delayed error
Hi Team,I am using Exchange server 2003 +SP2 and clients are outlook 2003 /2007Sometimes when our users send mails to particular domain it hits back us an non delivery report saying that Your Has been delayed for some or all of the intended recipients. And when i try to investigate this error the first thing i do is i try sending email from my gmail or yahoo account most of the time i get the same error message that i received in outlokiee in our official email account I know if receive a bounce back even after sending test mail from other account its problem with the recipent domain but the question is i receive this non delivery report after 15 to 20 hours users complain me saying that its ok if the probelm presists with the recipent domain but we need to know that there is a problem quickly for example when uers sends mails he receivesNDR after 15 to 20 hours and that complain comes to me i send an test mail from my account and also from gmail or yahoo and i get theNDR again after 15 to 20 hours ,I am able to give confirmation to the user only after two days i just want to know is there any way that as soon as the users forwards me the NDR i should be able to tell the problem without myself sending test mail from gmail or yahooThanks in advanceRegardsAbu

Abu, it all depends on the NDR and the error code embedded on that.See the whole list of NDR codes. looking into this and comapring with the code on the NDR you can decide whether you need to send an email from another domain to test or its fine and the problem lies with the recipient email address.http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/exchange2003/exchange2003_NDR.htmRaj

This is not a NDR. This is DSN (Delivery status notification), so you will not get the NDR codes here. This is just intimate the status of the email.Raj
