Message not being sent to Moderator in Public Folder Calendar
Hi All, I'm using Exchange 2007. I created a calendar in the Public Folder area called "tech". I've ensured that the proper rights are set for the users. I've opened up the Moderated folder dialog and entered the "Forward New Items To:" field with my name, added my account to the moderators area, and checked the item to enable moderation. I go to another account that contains authoring rights and proceed to add an appointment. The appointment is actually created which is not supposed to happen and I also do not get an email. I've tried it on several accounts that are not moderators or administrators and the same thing happens. I've ensured that the public folder is mail-enabled using the EMC for Public Folders and the little icon shows that it is. The same thing happens when I create a POST area in the public folders. I've read the instructions over and over but I'm still missing the boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. regards, Pat

Are you configuring the Tech folder based on KB 182904? Yes, it shouldnt happen. I cannot reproduce the issue in the lab either. I created a public calendar [Test] based on your description, the following outputs is its parameters, please try to compare with your Tech folder, seeking for differences My lab: Exchange server 2007 SP1 + Outlook 2007 SP1 [Domain: sg.com; DC: sgc] Also, please try to create a new test public calendar. See if you can reproduce the issue ============== [PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>get-publicfolder -id \test|fl AgeLimit : EntryId : 000000001A447390AA6611CD9BC800AA002FC45A030090 11D8A6ABD4C84299C389336FC21414000008B675400000 HasSubFolders : False HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled : False LocalReplicaAgeLimit : MailEnabled : True MaxItemSize : Name : test ParentPath : \ PerUserReadStateEnabled : True PostStorageQuota : Replicas : {Public Folder Database} ReplicationSchedule : {} RetainDeletedItemsFor : StorageQuota : UseDatabaseAgeDefaults : True UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults : True UseDatabaseReplicationSchedule : True UseDatabaseRetentionDefaults : True Identity : \test IsValid : True OriginatingServer : sgc.sg.com >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> [PS] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>Get-MailPublicFolder -id test|fl Contacts : {} DeliverToMailboxAndForward : False ExternalEmailAddress : expf:TESTA6D8119042C8D4AB3389C3991414C26FB 67540 ForwardingAddress : PublicFolderType : Mapi PhoneticDisplayName : RootUrl : AcceptMessagesOnlyFrom : {} AcceptMessagesOnlyFromDLMembers : {} AddressListMembership : {Default Global Address List, Public Folde rs} Alias : test OrganizationalUnit : sg.com/Microsoft Exchange System Objects CustomAttribute1 : . . Thanks James. After running the PS command line, I noticed that the folder was not mail enabled. I have to practice more on the EMC screens. I may revert to PS commands only once I get the gist of them. regards,
