Message stuck in Categorizer when sent via rule
HelloI have a strange situation I was wondering if anyone had come across..Our servers are Exchange 2003 SP2 with Outlook 2007 clients. AD/mail domain is company.com.There is a server on our network that accepts mails on EMAIL GONE. We have an application (EMAIL GONE) that sends out certain reports, and sometimes these are forwarded to EMAIL GONE by users. One of the users has set up a rule to forward any email from EMAIL GONE to EMAIL GONE, however this is not working. The situation is:1. If a user manually forwards a mail to EMAIL GONE, then the message passes through Exchange and is received by Server1 no problem.2. If a user sets up the rule to forward mail to EMAIL GONE, then the message gets stuck on the mailbox server. According to Exchange Message Tracking, the last step is "SMTP: Message Submitted to Categorizer"In both cases, the mail is identical, so I'm not sure why this is. Any ideas?

I checked a few things; In ESM > Global Settings > Internet message format > Properties > AdvancedI have "Allow automatic forward" unchecked.I presume this means that no user can automatically forward mail outside the Exchange org?To test, I created a rule in my own Outlook to auto-forward email from EMAIL REMOVED to EMAIL REMOVED - sure enough, the forwarded messages get caught in the Categoriser queue as well. But - I can't figure out a way to get round this! The article I linked below shows how to auto-forward everything to a Contact, this isn't what I want to do.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317652I've tried to create a Contact with an address of EMAIL REMOVED and changed the rule to send to there, but it doesn't work.Any ideas?

Try this. This will over ride the settings "allow automatic forward" unchecked. I believe that , as this setting is not checked , so none of users are able to forward th email. so what you can do is , make exceptions for some of your users who can do an automatic forward.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317652Raj
