I receive the error "an error occurred during a call to windows management instrumentation when I try to change the log file location in exchange system manager. I aslo get an error "the search could not be completed. Check to see that exchange management service is running as a result of these errors, I am not able to use message tracking. can someone belp

Can you post the exact errors and anything in the event logs? Not sure what you mean by changing the log file location.
