Thanks but when I enter the command and press enter the cursor goes to the next line and displays >> as if the command is not complete.

I have a distribution list that forwards to an external contact. When I try to use the message tracking logs in Exchange to see if an email from an external address hit the DL which forwards to the contact it wants me to specify a mailbox - but there is no mailbox for this scenario. How can I check if the message was sent and delivered? Running Exchange 2010 all roles on one server.

Have you tried the get-messagetrackinglog PowerShell command? example (using today's date): get-messagetrackinglog -start "1/17/2012 12:00AM' -end "1/17/2012 7:50PM" -recipient distributionlist@yourdomain.com If that isn't detailed enough, you can always specify the external email address instead of the distribution list email address.JAUCG
