Messages deleting from OWA once they are opened through the Outlook client
I am trying to figure out this problem. Any help would be appreciated. If a message is opened within the outlook client inbox it deletes from the OWA account. All other messages remain from all other folders. This appears to only be happening with the inbox. I checked both AD and Exchange 2007 and there is only 1 account for the user so it isnt a multiple account issue. I then tried to setup the Outlook client on a different computer but now the client on that computer acts the same way the OWA account does. The messages will still remain on the original computer but once they are opened from there it dissapears from everything else. Anyone know why this is happening? Outlook 2003. Thanks in advance.

Look in;Tools, E-Mail Accounts, View or change existing e-mail accounts, and check to see where new e-mail is being delivered. It should be something like "Mailbox - Username".

Only the computer that gets and keep the mail its says that new mail is being delivered to "personal folder" and on the computer thats not keeping the mail it says "Mailbox - Username". What would be the proper way to link these two? I dont know if I should just go in and change the working one to "Mailbox Username" because i dont know if that would wipe out all the current messages. What should I do?

This only affects where the email is delivered and is not destructive. Any emails that hve been delivered to personal folder will remain in personal folder after changing the delivery to Mailbox - Username. By making this change all future email will be delivered to the mailbox and be available to any client the user has.

As per my understanding if you select the INBOX (unread messages) from OWA , which is at the center top of the OWA screen , then this type of problem happening. For example when you open the message from your MAPI Client then the OWA client synchronization the MAPI Client and removed the message from the OWA client. For resolution change the same as INBOX (Messages)
