Messages forwarded by Out Of Office dissapear in Message Tracking at categorizer
Hi, Running Exchange 2003 Enterprise edition Active / Passive cluster on Windows 2003 Enterprise. NB Symantec Mail Security for Exchange 5 latest version is installed on both nodes with the clustered resource to switch between nodes with exchange. Have a problem withmost but not allmessages forwarded using out of office assistant (set in outlook 2003) to an external mail account. No real consistency as to which messages get through in Sender, To or CC or Dist List, Internal or External Sender. Any message that doesn't go out when checked in the message tracking center in Exchange ESM gets to the stage of reaching the exchange categorizer and then goes not further than this. The only other issue I can find is on node 1 (with node 1 active) using ESM to look up "DirectoryAccess" tab on the usersmailbox server we get an error "Information about the directory service could not be completely obtained" it goes on to say to check the Exhcnage management service is running (it is and restarting it does not help, neither does restarting the WMI components). Having OK'ed this error ir then shows an incomplete list of just the Config server and the other controls on this tab areg greyed out. Viewing the Directory Access tab for this server from the other node or from a workstation running ESM works fine and shows the full list of Config server and DC and GC servers available correctly. PS I have upped diagnostic logging on the Exchange Categorizer in the registry on both nodes of the cluser but there is nothing relating to the missing messages concerned coming up in the Exchange Transport sections of the Application Logs. Any idea's on other area's to investigate would be much appreciated. Thanks,
