Our exchange 2000 server is receiving email for local delivery but they don't seem to leave the categorizer. If I use message tracker to look at the incoming mail, most seem to have 2 entries, 1 says "submitted to categorizer" and the next "delivered to local store" Some of the emails are from the same company, one sender would get delivered and the next sender is held in the categorizer! Does anyone know why some are held and not deliveres or a way of forcing the delivery? Thanks

Is it possible that one of your domain controllers/global catalog servers is having a problem? How many GCs do you have in the site with that Exchange server? Could you reboot them? Also, turn up Diagnostics Logging for the categorizer (under the MSExchangeTransport category) and see if there any useful messages that show up in the Application event log.
