Microsoft Deployment Toolkit: deploy captured XP image bluescreen
What I'm trying to do:
Let Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) in combination with Windows Deployment Services (WDS) on Windows Server 2003 install a litetouch installation of Windows XP SP2 (or SP3) on one computer, capture the installation to a .wim and deploy it onto other computers (with other hardware).
What I've done so far:
Got myself two different Acer laptops (different hardware and processor dual core vs single core) and downloaded all the XP drivers from the Acer site.
Installed Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) what is needed for MDT.
In the Deployment Workbench a created a distribution share and added Windows XP SP2 from the CD.
Then I added the network card and mass storage XP drivers in the 'Out-of-Box Drivers'.
Created a task sequence. In the task sequence i turned on 'Set Diskpart BIOS Compatibility Mode'.
Then I created a lab deployment point andchose to inject network and mass storage drivers and generated a litetouch bootable RAM disk image.
When the image was created I added it in WDS as boot OS.
Took one of the two different laptops (single core model) booted it up from the network using PXE boot (F12), chose to capture an image and let Windows XP SP2 install.
When the installation completed and XP was booted up sysprep launched up and it said "Sysprep is working".
For the first 10 minutes my hard disk was working, but then my laptop seemed to do nothing while sysprep was still working. When I wanted to open the task manager Sysprep stopped working (had it done its job completely??).
The computer rebooted into PE and started creating the .wim. After that it rebooted again and started XP. Everything seems OK.
Then on my server I went back to the Deployment Workbench and added the newly created wim in the Operating Systems list, then I created a new Task Sequence with the new wim as operating system('Set Diskpart BIOS Compatibility Mode' enabled).
Updated the deployment Point.
Took the same laptop again, PXE boot and chose to install the captured wim. This went extremely fast! .
It rebooted and everything was fine.
Now the real challenge, deploying the image to the other laptop with completely different hardware.
Booted it up using PXE boot, chose to install the captured wim, but on reboot while the XP loading bar was active I've got a blue screen. with error 0x000000B7.
What have I forgotten / am I doing wrong???
Thanks in advance!!, help would be much appreciated!
PS: Sorry to bore you with an explanation this size , but I wanted to make it clear.

Hi,
This is the forum for Exchange.
Besides,we do not recommend you to use image to load operation system.
You can use newsgroup for Windows XP(setup and deployment) to get better help.
