We have a little problem that is causing minor irritation to our users.
Scenario: Users across the country access our server via Citrix and use an Office 2013 Professional Plus suite installed on the server (A Hyper-V virtual server on on a DB server (Yes we know this isn't an ideal situation)). Each user has a subscription to Office 365 enabling them to use full office suite (Business Essentials and ProPlus).
Citrix environment running on Windows Server 2008 Std R2 (SP1)
Problem: We set up our Citrix environments with a map to our File Server (lets call it Z:/). Users open an Excel/Word file from Z:/My Folder. Generally the user would edit the document, but edited or not, when the file is closed the program pops up a window:
Microsoft Excel/Word has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.
-> Check online for a solution and close the program
-> Close the program
-> Debug the program

Pressing "Check online for a solution and close the program" does nothing. I get a progress indicator and then it vanishes. No webpage, nothing but my desktop.
Pressing "Close the program" does exactly that and appears to be the only way to carry on.
Pressing "Debug the program" offers me the option of opening the program in Visual Studio, which is probably not going to be of much use to me.
However, the document still saves and can be opened. This issue only appears to be a nuisance when closing documents while using network locations. Local files appear to be unaffected.
Usually I could repair the installation, but due to the number of people using the software via Citrix, we would have to contact a lot of people and tell them to stop work. Secondly, it was a nightmare trying to get Office 2013 working on that server in the first place, thanks to Microsoft's horrific Office 365 plans and licensing u-turns, but that's another (satisfactorily resolved) story.
If anyone can shed some light on this annoying crash I'd appreciate any advice. I can replicate the issue through my own Citrix login too.
Many thanks
