Hi ,

From exchange 2007 onwards autodiscover is the feature which will help the users to configure the outlook profile automatically without giving any manual inputs like exchange server name and email address .

Note : User need to open the outlook and then click next-->next --->ok (Required settings to configure outlook profile will be taken by the autodiscover feature)

So on your end you need to make sure outlook anywhere and autodiscover in exchange is configured with the name available on the SAN certificate.

Hi,

As Nithyanandham said, we can use autodiscover service to configure the user profiles automatically on exchange 2007 and the later version.

The Autodiscover service makes it easier to configure Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, or Outlook 2013, so you dont need to configure your user profiles manually to access Exchange.

If you are using Exchange 2007 and 2010, we can access the mailbox from OWA and get the server information from Options > About. If you are using Exchange 2013, please contact your exchange administrator for manually configuration information.

For detailed information about the autodisover  service , please refer to :

David
