Microsoft Exchange 2003 database
Dear All, please help me for the following qeustions. 1. how can i change the Exchange database file path from default c: to any other directory? is it possible or not ? 2. Can i pariotionize the Echange Server database? if yes then how ? 3. is the Exchane Database compraised from SQL database concepts? 4. Can we open .ebd & .stm files in any tools like SQL? thanks Anil, 2. i mean if i want to create different database for different department users, is it possible and how ? (i dont want a single database for all users) 3. what is jet engine? how and from where i can get it ?

1. Create a new mailbox database http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821748 and then move some of your mailboxes it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821829 2. Anil and Lasse gave you great information, and there are no native tools that will provide you with the ability to access an Exchange database offline, however, there are third party utilities like Lucid8's DigiScope that can open offline Exchange databases allowing you to browse, search, export and recover data etc http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp Troy Werelius www.Lucid8.com
