Hi, I just migrated from an exchange 2003 machine to an exchange 2007. But whenever I try to create a mail box it tells me it can't find a server with the address list service running. I checked, and sure enough the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service isn't running. So I start it, and then it tells me "the service started and then stopped. Some services automatically stop when not in use". I get no other error message. Any ideas what's happening?

You should be getting some event when you are trying to start the system attendant and its failing. Also make sure if all the dependent servers are started. Yes. Please check is there any error logged in Event Logs. In addition, please run dcdiag /s:<DC name> to check the connection between your Exchange server and your DC.Jack Zhou
