Migrate from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010
How can I save items in my Inbox before transferring from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010? I would like to save them outside of Outlook to minimize transfer time.

1. Not sure what your bandwidth is but the move should be seamless to the user if properly planned and scheduled.
2. Also, I believe if youre using SP2 for exch 2007 it will be an online move (im quite sure)
3. If you do want to move items out, then export them to a PST either through Outlook or from the EMS.

Yes Sukh is correct.
But why would you want to pst the items out? Just do a mailbox move, it will be online also.Stew

You may export/import as pst
Export-Mailbox -Identity <MailboxIdParameter> -PSTFolderPath <Path_Of_PST_Folder>\<File_Name>.pst
Import-Mailbox -Identity name@contoso.com -PSTFolderPath C:\PSTFiles\name.pstRegards from www.windowsadmin.info

Hi,
From your description, you can try to use Export-Mailbox command to export mailbox to PST file.
