Migrate from Exchange 2k3 in DMZ to Exchange 2k7 in LAN
Hi all! I've been reading up on how to accomplish our migration from Exchange 2k3 Standardto 2k7 Standard. Right now, our network has a DMZ segment with Exchange 2k3 installed on a Win 2k3 AD server. Let's say this is domain "ActDir2" with IP range 10.10.10.0/24. On the LAN segment, we have another Win 2k3 AD server on a different domain, let's say "ActDir1" with IP range 10.10.11.0/24. For now, our PIX 515 is handling the routing and firewalling. This will be swapped out for an ASA 5505 in the near future. Wewould of course prefer to do this migration with the minimum downtime, overa weekend maybe. We already have2 of eachWin 2k8 Standard and Exchange 2k7 Standardlicenses. We would like to put the new Win 2k8/Exchange 2k7 server in theLAN using the existing "ActDir1" AD. We need OWA and calendaring. Is there anydetailed documentation for this migration scenario? If not, any pointers as to what is the best way to accomplish this? Thanks bunches.
