Hi all,
We have recently migrated Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. AD is Win08 R2 and same for the new Exchange 2010 OS. The migration is considered smooth except for a few minor painful issues listed below. Would be good if someone can shine some light as we have
been googling and couldn't really find a proper solution.
We have shutdown the old exchange 2003 (yet to remove the connectors) and currently having these issues:
1. GAL initially was empty but there are entries now (out of the blue). BUT the problem is that we can't create new profile in Outlook for existing or new users. Users are using either Outlook 2003 or 2007.
2. Outlook 2003 users is having an error when downloading the full global address list. The problem was there for the 2007 but now gone.
We are pretty sure that these problems will not exist if we switch on the Exchange 2003 but we are reluctant to do so as the idea is to decommission the old exchange once 2010 is up and running.
Any advise or links will help. Thanks heaps!
