Migrating to Exchange 2010 - Send As Permission
Hello!
I'm in the process of migrating the mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.
For multiple mailboxes, it was explicitly set the Send As permission for some users to send emails on behalf of the mailbox.
When the mailbox is migrated to Exchange 2010, these permissions are lost.
How to solve this problem?
Thanks!

What was granted Send As permission?
The behaviour you have seen shouldn't happen - unless it is an admin level account that has the Send As permission. In that case the permission would be removed because by default an Admin level account cannot hold that permission.

Hi,
As I known, all the Exchange configuration stored in AD configuration database.
I also think it not caused by the migration. Because migrate mailbox to Exchange 2010,
only moved the mailbox database .
It will not change AD configuration database information.
1. Such issue always due to the AdminSDHolder. If your account is part of certain security groups, inheritance is reset and permissions are reset.
2. You can't have both Send As and Send on Behalf of on the same account.
