Migration from 2010 to 2013 exchange - which server is a receiver connector
We started migration from our exchange 2010 server and now how in place also 3 new exchange 2013 servers in DAG. I am wondering how to check which Exchange server is now receiver connector for extarnal messages? Is it only exchange 2010 server?

Hi Bbelko,

Without going into to much technical, Login to a Ex2013 mailbox send an email to external id and reply back from the external mailbox. Check the header which servers are travesered, you will know your answer.

Otherwise you can check the settings on your SMTP gateway server see which its talking to. If you have not changed, it will automatically not switch to Ex2013. Ex2010 receive connector would continue getting incoming emails.

For outbound mail flow from Ex2013 you need to create a send conn

In addition above suggestion, we suggest you configure Exchange 2013 to receive/send message from/to Internet.
