Re:  changing values

1.  Add .08 to each number?
2.  Add 8% to each number?
3.  Formulas?
4.  Mixed numbers/text within cells?
5.  Contiguous area?
6.  Use of Vba  OK?

Hi Lannister,

Based on your description, my understanding is you want to add 8 cents for each dollar. But the problem is if the dollar values are on the same row and column, or maybe there are some special situations. You can answer the questions of James Cone first.

I suggest you upload a screenshot so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem.

If you have no verified to post the screenshot, you can upload the screenshot via OneDrive.

Or you could send this screenshot or a sample file to our email address:

ibsofc@microsoft.com I'd like to help you check it.

Please Note: The email subject you should use the URL or the Title Name of your case.

I'm glad to help and follow up your reply.

  1. Enter the number .08 into a cell somewhere.
  2. Select that cell then Edit>Copy
  3. Select the cells you want to increase by .08
  4. Then Edit>Paste Special>Add>OK

That should change hard numbers to larger numbers and will add "+0.08" to any numbers created by formulas

Good Luck
