When I change mouse pointer style in mouse settings in order to get bigger pointers for persons with low vision, Word seems to ignore these changes. For example changing link pointer (the hand with pointing index finger) to bigger one is ignored while using Word.

Any take on that?

Word exercises no control over the mouse pointer size - that is done via whatever settings you've used for Windows generally.
