Move Mail out of Junk E-Mail folder
Is there a way to move an email message from the Junk E-Mail folder to the Inbox folder for multiple users? We received an email (legitimate not spam) to over 3000 mailboxes but for some user it went to the Junk E-Mail folder. I need a way to move, merge...that message to the Inbox for those user that have it in there Junk E-Mail. Thanks, Marco

Dear Marco, Using the built-in functunalities of Exchange, there is no way to control or modify messages that have already been delivered to the users mailboxes. I guess in your case the only thing you can do is to forward this message to the users in question (if this message is so important). In Exchange 2007, you can enable a feature called "Spam Quarantine" which will receive all messages that are suspected to be spam and will give the user an alert whenever a message is received there so he can choose what to do with it. For more information about Spam Quarantine, please visit http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124897.aspx.

Dear Raed, Thank you for your response. There will be other messages sent from this external account that we want to avoid going to user's Junk E-Mail folder. Is there a way to create a global rule to add a domain or email account to everybody's safer sender list? I'm thinking that will solve the problem for future messages. Thanks, Marco.

Dear Marco, This cmd-let might solve your problem, justpaste this comma in Exchange Management Shellon the server running theEdge Transport role or the hub transport role and you will get what you need, set-ContentFilterConfig -BypassedSenderDomains <domain name> please let me know if it works with you or not. thanks

Raed, Sorry it took me long to reply. What you had suggested on your last reply only applies to Exchange Server 2007 and I'm running Exchange Server 2003. The solution that I found is by using a third party application named "IMF Tuned", wich allows you to "whitelist" domains and/or email addresses. Thanks, Marco
