HI All,i am moving mail box from cluster node to mewly built exchange server ,both are in same organization,it was taking tooo long time around 4:30mins for 600MB ,why it was taking such huge amount of time any ideas seniors.....Thanks

How is your network configuration? Same network? Switched? 100MB? 1GB? Are you sure that all of your network adapters are configured to insert in to the network at the maximum speed? Some NICs I have used had to be manually configured for 100MB / FD. Even sometimes the switch ports had to be manually configured if it was a managed switch. Intel NICs and Cisco switches often required this.

what about diskperformance on servers, better IO performance will speed up the move.

Using Symantec Antivirus or other AV? Turn this off if so. Jason

Dear all my network is gigabit nic and switch port also configured giga-auto and i tried to copt to same server via FTP (for 2GB file it took just 211.39sec only so where is the problem i am planing to buils new server.....any suggestions?

Do you have antivirus software? Turn it off during the move. Jason

How many messages/items where in that 600mb mailbox.
