Moving exchange 2003 mailboxes
Hi
1) We would be deleting a mailbox store . It contains system attendant mailbox
does the system attendant mailbox needs to be moved to another mailbox store or can it stay and the mailbox store be deleted (with the three system mailboxes)
2) What are the owa , activesync configuration which can be checked on a production environment

1. There's no need to move the system attendant, SMTP or system mailboxes. You might want to move the GroupShield mailbox if you plan on using that on Exchange 2010 though.
OR on the same 2003 box No, you don't have to do anything, Exchange will recreate System Attendant mailbox on next available database when you remove first database.

Hi Sonadi,
No, you don't need to move.
If the store is then deleted, the System Attendant mailbox will be moved automatically into another mailbox store on the server (ie the HomeMDB value on the directory object will be updated).
