Multi domain names with restrictions
Ok I am trying to piece this together and having a rough go. We have an SBS 2003 box.I am trying to configure our Exchange server for multiple domain names.
COMPANYA.COM - Is a domain that we currently host the dns for locally and have full control over. We have all users currently using this domain.
COMPANYB.COM - is a domain hosted remotely but they have created an MX record to point at our SBS box, which is our DNS server.
Now what's happened is we have a new head for our organization and they want all the people associate with COMPANYB to only have COMPANYB addresses, at the very least only able to send from a COMPANYB address. Those usersare a small set of all the users (5 ish). So what I need to do is, setup the Exchange server to be able to deal with both COMPANYA.COM and COMPANYB.COM addresses. Have only COMPANYA employees have COMPANYA.COM addresses (they cannot have COMPANYB.COM addresses. Also COMPANYB.COM must be able to still receive COMPANYB.COM and COMPANYA.COM emails for the time being because that's the address they have been using up until now, but they must only be able to send COMPANYB.COM.
Can I do this in Exchange, and how do I go about doing it? I can really use help on this one.

You can assign any smtp addresses you want for users. Just add them to the default recipient policy. As for sending as, the from address will be what ever you select as the primary address for the user. Make sure to uncheck "Automatically update e-mail addressess.." so the changes dont get overwriten.
