Multiple Aliases in Exchange 2003 GAL
I have received a request to add an alias to an existing account in 2003 while still maintaining the current one. For instance, say the user is Jane Smith, add the alias Jannie Smith so that if either is searched in the GAL, it points to the same account. Easy enough for SMTP addresses but I'm not sure about the GAL. Any help appreciated.

You can't have a different mailenabled contacted linked to the same email address in an exchange org. You could do 2 accounts with a forwarder but that would be a pain to maintain long term.Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Hello,
I agree with Mark. It's impossible to create a new user/contact and make it link to an exist email address. You can consider try the workaround by Mark. I will update the post if I figure out a better idea.
Thanks,
Elvis
