Multiple CAS servers in different sites - one Reverse Proxied site
We have a simple implementation of the following; Site A: 1 x Exchange 2007 MBX (server03.companyname.com.au) 1 x Exchange 2007 HT/CAS (server05.companyname.com.au) 1 x Reverse Proxy (webmail.company.com.au) Site B: 1 x Exchange 2007 MBX, HT, CAS (server04.companyname.com.au) At the moment, all users connect to the Reverse Proxy server in Site A, as this is the only site with an Internet link. We have a single domain, and external users use the webmail server for OWA and Outlook Anywhere. The problem we have is that we cannot use ActiveSync or "Computer File Access" (through links sent in emails through OWA) for anyone that is in Site B. How can we enable ActiveSync and File Access for site B? Will ISA/TMG enable us to do this? Do we need to put a second reverse proxy (with a new hostname and SSL certificate) in for access to Site B? Thanks

Hi, If CAS proxying is working for OWA and Outlook Anywhere, it should work for ActiveSync as well. Please verify the Active Sync Directory settings for URLs and Authentication, there properties should be correctly set. You can refer to the following links for more info. http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/10/12/447266.aspx http://forums.msexchange.org/m_1800453879/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#1800453879 http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/09/04/446918.aspx By computer file access I think you mean "Direct File Access" feature in OWA, this is not supported for non-internet facing site and CAS proxying scenerio. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrclients/thread/236ddddc-62d0-4c4d-9f35-d41e3ac85092 So, Active Sync should work you would not require a seperate reverse proxy and certificate but if you really need "direct file access" then yes you will have to publich the CAS in site B as well. -V-V
