Hi,
What do you mean by multiple domain since in case we required to have alex@abc.com & also @xyz.com then we have install exchange on one domain & point both domain MX to same IP & add the second domain in accepting domain list, then
we can add both the email address for one user as secondary & primary email address. do explain the environment since issue is not that clear.Ripu Daman Mina | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging | MCC

i want to run 2 email domain...
i have setup mutilple domains on my
server
Do you really want two domains or... two email addresses for each user?
If you have one server (just one?) then you only can have one Active Directory domain: one domain per domain controller maximum.
when im trying to create another user alex@xyz.com it says account already exist
What is the name of your Active Directory domain? You just have one, right?
abc.com or xyz.com?
If it is abc.com, you create (on the Exchange server, which may be the same machine as the DC, since you write "server" as singular) a new mailbox with the user's name. This automatically will create the user.
After that, you go into the mailbox properties and add the secondary email address (by default abc.com will be the first:
alex@abc.com).
This is under the Email Addresses tab in the mailbox properties.
You do not need to create another USER or MAILBOX to give the user a second (or third) email address.
This can be automated of course, but for now let's make sure we understand exactly what you are trying to do.

This is a poor quality screenshot but it does show how the user can have two (or more) email addresses:

You do NOT configure this in Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC).
You must use the Exchange Management Console (EMC - Let's not worry about PS cmdlets for now).
In the pane (of window) on the far left, you go to Recipient Configuration and select the user in question:

Open the user properties and look for the Email Addresses tab (see first link above).
This is where you add the additional addresses.
Of course, as Ripu Daman Mina stated above, the email addresses must match an accepted domain.
You configure accepted domains here:

Does that help?

Hi,
Agree with Le Pivert. To create a new SMTP address for a user, please use the Exchange Management Console:
1. Open EMC, expand to Recipient Configuration, right click a mailbox and choose properties.
2. In the E-mail Address, click Add button to add a new SMTP address for the user as
the
alternative email address.
If you want to configure the new email address for all users, you can use deploy it by using E-mail Address polices.
