Multiple Public Folder Databases Exchange 2007
Hi,
I have a quick question r.e Public Folders in Exchange 2007. The environment is Exchange 2007 SP3, 2 x Mailbox Servers,
1 x HUB/CAS Server. If I was to create Public Folder databases on each server would users see one Public Folder in Outlook or two Public Folders? Another way of saying this might be would the two databases be available in one Public Folder Tree or would
we have two independent trees? I hope this makes sense to somebody out there
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi
Users will see any public folder they have permission to in the same tree from a client. If they are connected to a mailbox server that does not contain a particular folder they will be referred to the server that has it. You don't need to configure
anything other than permissions for this to work.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the quick response. Just to clarify if we have 2 PF databases on 2 mailbox servers the users will see all content that they have permissions to under on root folder i.e the databases are not listed as seperate public folders?
