My sent folder is empty all of a sudden
I recently opened my sent items to search for an email and they are all missing. It gives me an error that says the folder can't be accessed on the server (but these are residing on my hard drive??) and then says to try and restart outlook - which I have done. All the other personal folders that I have set up are fine and the inbox is fine as well as the junk and deleted. But ALL the sent items are missing. Even when I send an email and then go immediately to the sent folder, there is nothing there. How do I recover these and fix this error? Thanks! Nate

Is this an Exchange environment or are you using POP/IMAP? If Exchange, can you log into OWA and check? Do you have any Outlook Rules defined? Have you tried to do an advanced search against your Outlook client to search for the email?Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

I agree check OWA. You can also try recreating your Outlook Profile.Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Would you please let us know the version of your exchange server and outlook client? Please check below option: Outlook>View>current view>messages> Please check the Properties of sent items folder with the normal one(View filter). Thanks Your expertise never fails to impress!
