NDR 5.1.1 sent to Distribution Group
OS; Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Application: Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2003 NDR: The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address. <ex1.csc.uscom.com #5.1.1> Problem: I have a user that sends to this a Distribution Group and recieves this NDR. I send a test mail to the same Distribuation Group and get no NDR. Same as my coworkers. Prognosis:I want to clear the cache of names that automatically fill out. He would rather recieve the NDR.

Just a guess, but it sounds to me like an Outlook Autocomplete issue. Have the user select the UDG from the GAL instead of entering it into the To: field. jm

Hi, What mode of the Outlook is running? Cached mode or Online Mode? From the sysmptom, that should be the OAB issue on the Outlook client. If the OAB is not updated, it will use the LegacyExchangeDN of the DL from the OAB to send the email even though clear the AutoComplete Cache. Now please configure the Outlook with Online Mode, then check this issue. If it's OAB issue, you have to delete the local .OAB files and update it. Thanks AllenAllen Song

Hi, Does the problematic user send the email to the DL by using OWA? Did you perform the correct steps to reset the AutoComplete Cache? The below KB is the standard steps: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287623 To test the issue in Outlook with Online Mode, you have to choose the DL from the GAL directly. Thanks AllenAllen Song
