Hello there,
Please configure outlook for Brett and remove the delegation if it already set to Carol.
I had similar kind of scenarios. Thanks & Regards, Kottees

Hello there, specs first -
System: SBS 2008
Application: Exchange 2007
We recently had a user Carol, who was set up to receive a copy of any messages that were sent to Brett, another user within the organisation.
We recently deleted Carol from the system because she left the company.
No problems there, however:
If an invitation to attend a meeting via the Outlook Calendar is sent to Brett, from any sender inside or outside the organisation, an NDR is returned declaring that Carol cannot receive the invitation because the user carol@ doesn’t exist. The Exchange
console shows that Brett is no longer forwarding email to any other users, so there is something residual going on inside the big monkey. This is not an Outlook issue as happens on anyone sending an invitation to Brett. Forums are confusing with answers mixed
for EX 2003 and 2007 ,This is 2007 – any thoughts?
