NDR Messages for Deleted User
Alright, this is really strange.
I have a user that was deleted from Active Directory and Exchange several months ago. Since deleting the box, we have a couple of users who when you send a meeting request to them you get an NDR message back saying that this deleted user no longer exists. (see below)
I have gone through these mailboxes, calendars, contact lists and made sure that there aren't any accounts on them with access that shouldn't be but still this message comes across, as recently as this morning it's happened. Does someone know of something I can do to make it stop? Please let me know if you do.

Sounds like the couple of users that you send to still have this deleted user set as a delegate in their Outlook settings.... Have them check that out and/or for any leftover rules that might include the deleted user.

I checked all of that and nothing is there for this user anywhere on his account.
The only thing I've found is in AD Users and Computers.
For his account on 'Exchange Advanced' and then 'Mailbox Rights' there is a user account that isn't associated to anything, it doesn't have a name and I can't remove it. It keeps telling me that I can't remove it because it's inheiriting permissions. How do I remove this account from his mailbox? I think that this might be the problem.

If the delegate is not there, you need to delete the hidden rule using mfcmapi or by closing outlook and running launching outlook.exe /cleanrules from the run box. Back up any outlook if you need to as this will wipe all rules.
