NDR Messages to Exchange Administrator after Upgrade to 2010 from 2003
Recent upgrade from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. On 2003, when a user's mailbox was full (for example), the Exchange administrator would get a message (as well as the user) indicating this condition. Since the new server has been on-line, these have stopped (to the administrator) and we went a whole day with clients resending messages because one member of the distribution group had a full mailbox. I have looked everywhere in the new EMC and cannot find where to set up the NDR to the Exchange administrator. Users are always going over limit all the time and this was a valuable tool. Server is standalone with Hub Transport, Client Access, and Mailbox roles. All outbound traffic is routed through a Barracuda Spam Firewall, and all inbound traffic is received from the same Barracuda. This was the same with the Exchange 2003 environment. Thanks

“In Exchange 2010, configuration of the external postmaster address is controlled by the ExternalPostmasterAddress parameter in the Set-TransportConfig cmdlet. In Exchange Server 2007, you configure this parameter using the Set-TransportServer cmdlet on every computer running Exchange 2007 that has the Hub Transport server role or Edge Transport server role installed” --------Refer to <Configure the External Postmaster Address>James Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
