NDR in Exchange 2010 with distribution groups not working
Hi everybody!
In our exchange 2010 environment we use a lot distribution groups with sendas permissions to grant people to send as the distribution group mail. The problem is that when people send mail as the distribution group address to a wrong or non-existing mail
address, no NDR is returned.
The problem is the same of

I've read also kb817220 but I want the NDR to be received only by the single sender (who uses sendas permission), not from all the people in the dg. I'd like that everyone, no matter if a sendas or a personal address is used, receives his own NDR to "ack"
the delivery failure, as it should be in any well-working mail environment.
Is it possible? Maybe using the ReportToOriginator property? Could you explain exactly (with little examples) the reportToOriginator meaning (In technet it isn't explained well... who is the originator? how does it work)?
Could you help me?
Thanks, Diego.

I think it is not possible, and I'd suggest you set the option Send delivery reports to group manager.
