I've created three AD accounts on an Exchange server but it seems mailboxes for them were not created. I had been using Outlook on the client machines to try to setup accounts. In the mailbox tab (in Exchange) thereis no selection to add mailboxes. Can anybody help on this? Thanks...

On the Exchange server, launch Active Directory Users and Computers. Find the user, right click the user and go to Exchange Tasks. Hi, It seems that you have installed the exchange server after creating these 3 users. And as such the email accounts for these users are not created. If you create new user accounts now, you will see a page to create the associated exchange account also. For the 3 users please right click on the users and then select exchange task as markmorow discribed. Note : that only administrator account's email box is created after installing exchange. And any other users who are already created in AD before installation of exchange are to be manually enabled for mail accounts. Thanks.

Hi Agra, The issue can be caused by The Exchange System Management Tools are not installed on the computer. Make sure you have installed it. Have you installed Exchange 2003 SP2? Make sure Exchange System Manager tool is installed wherever you are trying to create Mailboxes You need to create Mailboxes where you have installed the ESM. it could be from Direct exchange server or any of the other Management Serve where the ESM is installed.Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
