Net6_vvm folder?
We just upgraded from Exchange 2003 (single server) to a multiple server Exchange 2007 (mailbox and CAS). I migrated my mailbox and one other to see and test behavior. My mailbox has a weird folder called Net6_vvm under the inbox that is populated with all of my emails that included attachments. It only shows on my iphone not in outlook 2007, webmail, or using the MFCMapi browser loading my profile. The only thing I could find refered to blackberry that said to wipe the device, but they weren't any help. I've removed my profile and resynced with my phone, but it is always there. This is my only mobile device (as specified by OWA options) whereas my co-worker has alot of profiles (he provisions the phones and does all the OMA testing).Has anyone had any issues like this or have any idea where to look? I'm completely lost.

These will appear if you are using some kind of integrated Voice Messaging system with Exchange, or any other third-party Exchange applications Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

We don't use any Unified messaging in Exchange, I'm not running any third party exchange applications (by that I mean installed anything on the exchange server) We are using Cisco Unity for voicemail, but that shouldn't have installed anything on Exchange. It is possible that there was some third party applicaiton on the old server that migrated it with the box.Any idea on how to get rid of it?

Hi Llander, If the Net6_vvm folder cannot be located by using MFCMapi tool, I think that the folder does not exist in the mailbox on the Exchange Server. Would you please let me know if you use Windows Mobile to sync message with Exchange Server, whether the issue can still be reproduced? You can use Windows Mobile emulators to test the issue: Installing and running Windows Mobile emulators http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/09/17/447033.aspx If the issue cannot be reproduced by using Windows Mobile, I think that it is an iPhone specific issue. I suggest you contact iPhone regarding the issue. Mike Shen TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

Mike,I was able to sync the mobile HTC with my computer, and it went away temporarily, but came back. When I put the SIM card back into my iphone and synced it the folder was still there.

Mike,I was able to sync the mobile HTC with my computer, and it went away temporarily, but came back. When I put the SIM card back into my iphone and synced it the folder was still there. It appears when syncing with the PC it will pull information from my desktop. As soon as the windows mobile device resyncs with the server (after I delete the sync with my computer) the Net6_vvm folder returns. It appears whatever the problem is it is in the mobile sync part of exchange.

Hi,I do not find any information in our internal database regarding the Net6_vvm folder. At this time, would you please let me know whether the issue only occurs on your mailbox? If you create a new mailbox on Exchange 2007 server, whether the issue can be reproduced? If you create a new mailbox on Exchange 2003 and move to Exchange 2007, whether the issue can be reproduced? Thanks,Mike

No it is only my mailbox so far, but I only have three other mailboxes, one transfered and one new. So far just mine. I'm pretty sure it is unique to my profile. I have synced several mobile phones to my profile before upgrading to 2007, and I suspect that is where it came from, but I can't figure out how to make it go away. The only device 2007 sees is my iPhone.

Hi, Would you please let me know whether the Windows Mobile is configured to sync with Outlook client or Exchange Server? If the Windows Mobile Device is configured to sync with Exchange Server, I think that the issue may related to the mailbox on the server, I suggest you attempt following method to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Please export your mailbox to a PST file. Note: Please use Outlook to check the data is correctly exported to PST file. 2. Run Disable-mailbox to remove Exchange attribute of your user account 3. Please recreate a new mailbox for your user account 4. Please logon the new blank mailbox and ensure you can send/receive message well 5. Please reset Windwos Mobile Device and create a new profile to sync message with your mailbox on Exchange Server Note: Please enable Device Log on the Windows Mobile Device: a. On your mobile phone, click Start -> ActiveSync, click Menu -> Options. b. Highlight Exchange Server and click Settings. c. Click Next and click Advanced tab. d. Select Verbose under Event logging 6. Please check whether the Net6_vvm folder is created under inbox folder? 7. If the Net6_vvm folder is not created, please import the data from PST to mailbox and sync with Windows Mobile Device again. 8. If the Net6_vvm folder is created, please help me gather the Device log for further check (Please send all the files in My Device -> Windows -> ActiveSync folder to me at v-mishen@microsoft.com). Please also let me know: a). the user account you used to reproduce this issue. b). The approximate time you reproduce this issue. Regarding Import-mailbox and Export-mailbox, please refer to following article: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/04/13/437745.aspx Thanks, Mike

I upgraded to exchange 2010 and this seemed to take care of the issue for me.
