New Exchange 10 server existing Edge Transport
Good Afternoon, I've recently brought up an new Exchange 2010 Server with the purpose of transitioning our Existing 2007 Sp2 roles over to it during the Christmas holidays. Currently we have an 2010 Edge server subscribed to our existing 2007 Sp2 servers. Can i use the previous edge subscription .xml file to bring join the new 10 server to the Edge or do i have to create a new one and if so does that break what i currently have? Thanks, Andy

Hi AFAIK you will need to remove the existing subscription and create a new one, this should be a quick process if you are the only one involved You can find more info on: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124096.aspx Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Hi, The old XML fille does not work. You need to create a new subscription .xml file on edge server. Creating an edge subscription makes the configuration of the edge transport serve ready to be managed via edgesync.
